We played by the rules, dotted our "I's", crossed our "T's," and life was good -- at least, as defined by the rules of the rat race. Yet the problem, which became increasingly obvious, was that we didn't want to simply be other rats. For us, life seemed to work best when we were exploring the far corners of the globe. So we exchanged the house for our boat, Fearless, aboard which we sailed over the horizon.
