Thirty thousand miles; six continents; three oceans… all at six miles per hour. Each of those six miles in each of those many hours must be earned in ways that no passenger ever faces in plane, train or automobile.
It’s travel like no other, this plunging across the open sea. Since Magellan, countless daring voyagers have endeavored to span the globe in their own vessel… none do it lightly, and despite technological advances, all do it with the knowledge that at some point in all the long miles, the risks may outpace even the best precautions. The world’s shorelines and sea floors are littered with the remains of boats that were once piloted by highly competent captains; skill and preparation can only take you so far.
By the same token, we plunge across the big blue not only for the journey, but for the countless extraordinary destinations therein. Each of the voyage’s many legs reach to new ports and new adventures. We chart our course across time… the destination, life.
